P&C Uniform Committee update - The Uniform Committee has been reviewing and updating the Uniform policy for community consultation. This document was presented last night at the P&C meeting and will be available for review on the school's website in the coming days. School jumpers must be plain purple or black with the school logo – hoodies and other branded jumpers are not permitted. The school jacket can also be worn. Uniform shop has new and second hand ($2.00) jumpers and jackets available for purchase.
Reports and Interviews - Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 will be holding parent teacher interviews at the end of the term following the distribution of reports in Week 9. Stage 2 and Stage 3 will be holding their interviews early in Term 3 following the distribution of reports in Week 10. Information on how to book your interviews will be sent home.
Premier's Spelling Bee - Students in Stage 2 and Stage 3 will be participating in the Premier's Spelling Bee competition in the coming weeks with participants chosen based on assessment data. Students and parents will be notified if they have made it into the stage finals which will be held during Week 9.
Sport News - Congratulations to Saige S who has been selected in the NSW PSSA AFL team. Saige will travel to Canberra later in the year for the Australian championships.
ES1 and Year 2 Dental Visits - Northern NSW Local Health District Oral Health Service conducted four oral health promotion sessions to Kindergarten and Year 2 classes. The children were all given a toothbrush and a tooth brushing chart to take home. We aim for this to stimulate discussion and establish good oral health habits at home. We conducted 108 Kindergarten and Year 2 dental/oral health assessments. 57 Kindergarten and Year 2 children were found to require dental treatment.
