Again thank you for the ongoing support of our focus on Culture and Learning at our school. We are grateful to those parents who attended our successful Parent Information evening. We do hope to have more of these in the future. If you were unable to attend you will have noticed a copy of a few slides attached to a Skoolbag notification so you can see what we unveiled.
Our teachers this term are working extra hard in professional learning. Sessions that go late in the evening! A huge hoorah for the work – all on top of daily teaching and learning and preparation for reports. Our focus continues on building a collective efficacy that supports student engagement and continuous improvement practices for our learners.
As part of the end of year organisation, teachers are finalising class programs that will support class creation for 2020. We make sure that a learning focus runs all the way until the last day. As you would appreciate, the process of forming classes is a highly complex procedure that we take very seriously and handle carefully. As you would imagine, this is a complex web of variables that requires careful thought and discussion. As normal practice, our learners will have the opportunity to nominate a number of friends that will be considered as part of their class placement. Please note all teacher and class positions will be communicated at the start of the new school year. NB: You will find a school note in your child’s bag, requesting a confirmation for your child’s class position next year. We would appreciate it you return this as soon as possible so that we can have accurate numbers for next year 2020.
It is such an important time of the year and we would encourage you to reassure your children, starting to talk about all the positives of moving to a new class.
This is the term that moves VERY fast as we head towards the end of the year. It is undoubtedly one of the busiest school terms with many events to look forward to. So please keep an eye out for all newsletters and upcoming Skoolbag notifications to help keep you informed about what is coming up.
