We are already in Week 6 of school for this term. Our teachers and learners are busily engaged in many learning opportunities whilst developing a visible learning classroom.
Last Friday we enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate at the Book Parade. A huge thank you to Mrs Hollis, our Librarian, for the organisation and enthusiasm, a really great event. It was inspiring to see everyone dressed up and getting into the spirit of the day. I’d like to thank all our parents, students and staff for the effort you put into creating such fantastic costumes and for cheering on all our children with such enthusiasm during the parade.
This week is also SASS recognition week. A week to show thanks to our office, administration, general assistant and school learning support officers that we appreciate their tireless behind the scenes work that they put in to supporting staff and learners at our school. We are grateful to Sue, Charmaine, Jodie, Catherine, Andrea, Polly, Dale, Larissa, Vanessa, Jo and Jade. Thank you.
You will have heard that Mr Downward has decided to retire from the position as Principal at our school. The school will be advised by the Department of Education about the timeline to engage a permanent Principal position. We will keep you up to date as we know. We would like to thank Mr Downward for the contribution and passion that he has provided the school over his tender and wish him the very best with his further endeavours.
A huge ‘Hoorah!’ to all of our dads for Fathers Day. With thanks to the P&C for such a successful gift stall. Enjoy your special celebration with the family.
