Monday 8 April we will be holding our school ANZAC Day Service at 9.00am. The Stage 3 Voice Ensemble will be leading the school in the singing of the National Anthem and will also perform an ANZAC song.
The SRC executive will be laying a wreath at our school Cenotaph on behalf of the school community.
Students who wish to bring flowers for the ceremony, please deliver them to the front office as soon as you get to school. These will then be made into arrangements for SRC representative to lay at the Cenotaph.
Parents are invited to attend this service.
Community ANZAC Service
Pottsville Beach Public School has again been invited to participate in the 2019 ANZAC Day commemorations at Pottsville Beach.
THE MARCH
The students are to assemble in Berkley’s Lane near Murdock’s Pharmacy by 7.30 am. The SRC Executive will carry the banner for the march and place a wreath on behalf of the school at the Cenotaph.
Pottsville Beach Public School will lead the schools this year in the march.
The march will commence at 7.45am and proceed along Coronation Street and Tweed Coast Road to the Cenotaph at ANZAC Park Pottsville Beach where the students will be seated appropriately to ensure that they are well positioned to view and hear the service that will start at 8.00am and conclude at approximately 8.30am.
Our Stage 3 Voice Ensemble will be leading the singing of the National Anthem.
It would be fantastic to have as many students as possible attend this march. Students will need to be in full school uniform including hat and bring a bottle of water.
